Lea and Dr. Barry Cole (NPA) at the American Psychiatric Association State Policy and Advocacy Conference in Minneapolis. Recently, APA introduced their model prior authorization legislation to ensure patient access to the medications prescribed by their psychiatrist without the barriers put up by insurance companies. This has been identified as a major problem facing psychiatrists as they work to bring their patients to a place of stability and health. Belz and Case is looking forward to continuing to champion access to medications this upcoming session!
